Quail Ridge Golf Course

Quail Ridge Golf Course, designed by renowned Tulsa architect Jerry Slack, opened in 1992 and has become one of South Central Kansas’ premier golf destinations. Owned by the City of Winfield, the course is beautifully situated along the Walnut River at the edge of the Flint Hills—where the rolling, lush eastern prairies meet the more arid grasslands of the west. Quail Ridge Golf Course is proud to serve as the home course for the Southwestern College men’s and women’s golf teams.

The course features exceptional playing conditions with zoysia grass fairways, bent grass greens, and fescue roughs. Under the expert care of Superintendent Jeremy Birdwell, Quail Ridge consistently delivers some of the finest course conditions in the region. Native grasses frame many of the holes, enhancing both the challenge and the natural beauty, making it a favorite for golfers and photographers alike. Golf Digest has regularly recognized Quail Ridge as a 4½-star course on its “Places to Play” list.

Off the course, guests can enjoy a welcoming clubhouse offering food and beverage service in a relaxed setting with seating for up to 30 people. Just outside, a covered pavilion accommodates up to 112 guests, making it ideal for events and gatherings. Additional amenities include a driving range, short game practice area, putting green, and a fully stocked pro shop.
