WICHITA, KAN. - On Wednesday afternoon, October 11, the Southwestern College women's soccer team had a short trip to their rivals of Friends University as they battled their game in Wichita, Kan. A game that was close until the end ended in a 1-0 loss for the Builders.
The game started with chances on both sides. On the Builder side, Lydia Travis missed her shot just high, and the Falcons goalkeeper saved Bryanna Kuhn's shot. The first half did not bring any goals, which meant 0-0 at halftime.
Coming out of the locker rooms, both teams continued the fight for the win. In the end, it was the Falcons of Friends University who were able to score the first and final goal of the game. In the 47th minute, Keily Larosee scored to win the game for the Falcons.
The Builders (5-4-2, 4-3-1) are now preparing to face Sterling College on Friday, October 13, at 1:00 p.m. as they hope to return to the winning side.
