WINFIELD, Kan. — The Moundbuilders secured a hard-fought 1-1 draw against the Bethel College Threshers at Richard L. Jantz Stadium .

The first half saw both squads struggle to find their rhythm, but Bethel's Leonie Kuhrt broke the deadlock in the  23
rd  minutes of the first half, giving the Threshers a 1-0 lead.

As the match progressed into the second half, tension mounted with both teams exchanging opportunities, but failing to convert. Just when it seemed the Moundbuilders would leave empty-handed, Ella Weichmann emerged as the hero, scoring a dramatic equalizer at 89:59. Her timely goal not only brought the crowd to its feet but also salvaged a vital point for Southwestern in their conference campaign.
