WINFIELD, Kan - Southwestern College softball dropped a pair of games to Mid-America Christian University, 11-0, 9-1.
Game 1 vs. MACU Â | MACU 11, Southwestern 0
In the first game, Mid-America Christian University asserted their dominance early, securing an 11-0 victory.
The Southwestern offense struggled against the Mid-America Christian pitching staff, with only two hits in the game compared to MACU's 13 hits.
Rayven Favors singled in the first inning, but the Moundbuilders weren't able to advance her and left the run stranded. Â
The next Builder hit, and baserunner came in the fourth inning when Jolie Boyd singled to rightfield, but was unable to score.
And in the fifth, MACU would close the door, 11-0.

Mid-America Christian took game two as well for the 9-1 sweep.
Gina Hernandez had a double bringing in a run, but it wasn't enough to match Mid-America Christian's nine run offensive output.
Pitcher Faith Campbell battled on the mound for Southwestern, but Mid-America Christian's hitters were able to find seven hits in the game, and SC was held to only two.
The Builders fell in seven innings, 9-1.
Softball is back in action on the road in Springdale, Ark, on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Ecclesia College for a double header starting at 1pm.
