WINFIELD, Kan. — Southwestern College women's soccer returns to Richard L. Jantz Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 27, as the Moundbuilders host Northwestern College (Iowa) at 5 p.m.
Southwestern (0-1) will look for its first win of the 2026 season after falling 4-1 to Southwestern Christian University on Monday.
Southwestern finished its season opener with five shots, placing three on goal. Lauren Howard led the Moundbuilders with two shots, while Millie Hazzard and Maggie Bielefeld each added an attempt on goal.
The Moundbuilders entered the season with an experienced group of returners mixed with several new faces. Hazzard highlights the returning group after earning Second Team recognition on the 2026 KCAC Women's Soccer Preseason Team.
Northwestern enters Thursday with an 0-1 record following a 2-1 loss at William Penn in its season opener. The Raiders were picked ninth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll after finishing 7-8-2 overall and 3-6-2 in conference play last season.
