WINFIELD, Kan. — Southwestern College women's soccer picked up its first win of the 2026 season Wednesday night with a 6-0 victory over Central Christian College in McPherson, Kan. The win moves the Moundbuilders to 1-2 on the season.

Southwestern got off to a quick start with two goals in the opening five minutes. Madeleine McNeill opened the scoring at the 2:56 mark. Just over a minute later, Jade Smallwood found the back of the net to give the Moundbuilders an early 2-0 lead.

The Moundbuilders added to their lead late in the first half. Wendy Conde-Diaz scored in the 44th minute before Amiyah Baker added another goal less than a minute later. Shaylona Rollings picked up the assist on Baker's goal as Southwestern took a 4-0 lead into halftime.

Southwestern continued the scoring early in the second half. Baker scored her second goal of the night just 53 seconds into the period, with Rollings recording her second assist. Millie Hazzard finished off the scoring in the 74th minute to give Southwestern the 6-0 advantage.

Southwestern also earned its first shutout of the season. The Moundbuilders held Central Christian to three total shots and only one on goal. Djoy Zwiesereijn played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded one save in the shutout victory.

Southwestern returns to action Saturday, Sept. 5, as the Moundbuilders travel to Hastings, Neb., to take on Hastings College. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Lloyd Wilson Field.
