WINFIELD, Kan. — Southwestern College women's soccer returns home Wednesday, Sept. 30, as the Moundbuilders take on No. 15 Oklahoma Wesleyan University in KCAC play. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Richard L. Jantz Stadium.
Southwestern enters the matchup 4-5 overall and 3-1 in conference play after winning three straight matches. The Moundbuilders are coming off a 3-0 road victory over Sterling College on Saturday after previously earning 1-0 wins over York University and the University of Saint Mary.
The Moundbuilders have not allowed a goal during their three-game winning streak. Southwestern continued that stretch against Sterling while also putting together one of its strongest offensive performances of the season. Abigail Webb, Jade Smallwood and Maggie Bielefeld each found the back of the net in the win.
Oklahoma Wesleyan enters Wednesday 5-2-2 overall and 4-0 in KCAC play. The Eagles have won four straight matches and are coming off a 7-0 victory over Bethel. Oklahoma Wesleyan has also recorded four consecutive shutouts since beginning conference play.
Wednesday's matchup will be Southwestern's first home game since opening conference play against Friends University on Sept. 16. The Moundbuilders will look to continue their recent run as they face the nationally ranked Eagles.
