Coach Jake Conrad is currently in his first season with the Southwestern College volleyball program after coming over from Wichita State in the summer of 2019.
Coach Conrad hails from Oak Creek, Wisconsin and has a strong background in volleyball as well as psychology. He brings several years of experienced coaching from McHenry County College, Marquette University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and most recently Wichita State University.
Over the past 12 years, Jake has achieved exceptional results while coaching. His accomplishments include: a top 10 finish in state, an AAU National Championship at 17-Open, and helping develop collegiate athletes at Marquette, UW-Milwaukee, Wichita State, and on the AVP Tour. In addition, he competed at the highest level when he played alongside some current US Olympians on the USA Men's Junior National team from 2005-2006.
Conrad believes every player deserves an opportunity to have a positive volleyball playing experience. His philosophy of developing the 4 pillars of the game (technical, tactical, psychological, physical) while providing a fun, competitive environment will be his primary focus upon his arrival. He hopes to continue the school's efforts of bringing a new level of excellence.
