Southwestern College

Ryan Rice joined the Southwestern College men’s basketball staff as a graduate assistant coach in 2026. A native of Normal, Illinois, Rice brings experience in player development, day-to-day operations, and game preparation. 

Prior to Southwestern, Rice attended Butler University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in sports media and strategic communications. In addition, he served as a student manager for the men’s basketball program where he earned the head manager role his senior year. His time at Butler also provided him valuable experience working with numerous NBA and WNBA players. 

Rice is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports management, he is committed to continuing his growth as a coach while helping develop student-athletes on and off the court.
