I’m Tim Lambert, and I’m thrilled to begin my first year as the head coach for the men’s and women’s track and field programs at Southwestern College. My journey in track and field began at Kansas State University, where I had the privilege of competing at a high level and earning Second Team All-American honors, alongside 13 All-Big 12 selections.
During my time at Kansas State, I was honored to serve as team captain for three years, which was a significant part of my development both as an athlete and as a leader. Academically, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the College of Health and Human Sciences in 2023. I was fortunate to receive the Fairchild Scholarship and the Jean Alford Myers Award. I also completed my Master of Science in Kinesiology in May 2024 and hold a certification in Sports Performance Coaching.
In addition to my athletic and academic pursuits, I was deeply involved in leadership roles. As the Marketing Executive Chair for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, I worked to bridge the gap between student-athletes and the athletic department, reviewed NCAA policies, and helped propose new legislation. My involvement with Athletes in Action allowed me to support fellow student-athletes in their faith-based journeys.
I’m excited to bring my experience and passion to Southwestern College and am eager to contribute to the growth and success of our track and field program.
