TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – It is almost time for Southwestern College men's cross country's Ablel Gebreselase to take part in the 2022 NAIA Men's Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Fla. at Apalachee Regional Park. The race will take place at 7:30 a.m. CT on Friday morning, as Gebreselase looks to improve upon his 80th-place finish as an individual at last year's competition. 

Gebreselase enters the race having reached a 25:32.9 clip for his best time of the season so far. His personal best is nearly 20 seconds faster than that, at 25:14.9 at last year's KCAC Championships. He hopes to break his previous record and climb the standings at this year's ultimate cross country event.
