WINFIELD, KAN. - On Wednesday afternoon, October 18th, the Southwestern College men's soccer team welcomed the visitors of Evangel University at Richard L. Jantz Stadium in Winfield, Kan. A game where Southwestern dominated most of the game ended in a 2-0 win for the Builders.

The game started in favor of the Builders as Mamadou Diarra scored the first goal in the 4th minute to change the score to 1-0 Builders. A great pass by Nalan Kentner found Diarra's foot, who then pushed the ball past the goalkeeper.

The Builders kept dominating the first half but could not add another goal. Coming out of the locker room, the Builders did not wait long and scored in the 46th minute to win the game by a final score of 2-0. Hector Hernandez received a ball from Diarra, turned around, and curved the ball into the bottom left corner to win the game for the Builders.

The Builders (6-8-0, 4-6-0 KCAC) are now preparing to face York University on Saturday, October 21st, at 8:00 p.m. at Richard L. Jantz Stadium in Winfield, Kan.
