SPRINGFIELD, Mo – October 18, 2023, Southwestern College (9-11, 2-6) faced off against Evangel University (10-11, 6-3), falling in three sets, 22-25, 20-25, 15-25.
Southwestern's individual leaders included
Emma Lincoln, who showcased an impressive performance with seven kills, and
Callie Snowbarger, who contributed four kills.
Evangel maintained a significant advantage in kills, boasting 45 in total compared to Southwestern's 26. Evangel's powerful attacks made it challenging for Southwestern to gain control of the game.
Sophie Wicker, with 26 digs, played a crucial role in Southwestern's defense.
Malieokekai DaMate,
Hannah Weber, and
Callie Snowbarger all contributed four kills each for the SC attack.
