Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Friday, August 25, 2023, Marshall, Mo – In the opening match, Southwestern (2-1) fell 0-3 to Missouri Valley (3-0), (10-25, 16-25, 21-25).

Missouri Valley had a powerful attack against the Builders and solid blocking. Their strong play held SC in place and kept them from gaining momentum.

Baylee York stood out with four kills and two blocks, showcasing her ability at the net.

KaSandra Lyons was attacking with three kills, and adding some offensive power.

Morgan Pulido had  three kills. Hannah Weber was solid with seven dig on the counter attack.

Daci Stover had four kills, and one block.

In the second match of the day, the Builders (3-1) where able to dominate Clarke University (0-3), (25-19, 25-18, 25-18)

Sophia Wicker stabilized SC with 12 digs, and right behind her was Avery Riedel, with 10 digs.

Daci Stover dominated with eight kills and .318 hitting percentage.

Baylee York delivered six kills and two blocks.

KaSandra Lyons had seven kills and one block along with Emma Lincoln who hammered seven kills and two blocks. Reece Likes was key with 17 assists for SC.

The Moundbuilders will be back in action again tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 26, at 3pm, against Graceland University in Marshall, Mo.
