Atchison, Ks – Monday, Aug. 28, 2023, The Moundbuilders women's soccer teams lost on the road at Bendictine College, 1-5.
Benedictine to the lead at the 40:50 mark ona goal by Riley Degner. And scoring again to extend the lead before halftime, Jenna Wilken found the net, with an assist from Faith lewis.
Southwestern's Bryanna Kuhn scored for the Builders in the second half, at the 52:04 mark, but that would be the lone goal for SC.
Benedictine would score three more in the second half to pull away from the Builders.
INSIDE LOOK:

- Saves: Southwestern's goalkeeper made 8 saves, while Benedictine's goalkeeper made 3 saves.
- Corner Kicks: Southwestern had 3 corner kicks, whereas Benedictine had 3 as well.
- Fouls: Southwestern committed 11 fouls, while Benedictine committed 9.
The women's soccer team will be back in action, Wednesday, Aug. 30 at home, Richard L. Jantz Stadium, 5:30pm.
