BETHANY, Okla. – Monday, September 4, 2023, the Southwestern College women's soccer team secured their first victory of the season over Southwestern Christian University, Okla., 4-1.
Southwestern College quickly asserted themselves in the game when
Lillian Grisso scored at the 12:32 mark, giving the Builders the early lead.
Justyne Johnson extended SC's advantage in the 38th minute, finding the net with an assist from
Bryanna Kuhn.
Southwestern Christian got on the board in the 59th minute with a Jaina Munoz goal, assisted by Macey Armstrong.
However, the Builders remained resilient,
Bryanna Kuhn netted her first goal of the match at 63:44, further solidifying the SC lead. Kuhn wasn't done yet, as she struck again at 73:53, this time with an assist from
Millie Hazzard.

• Shots: Builders recorded a total of 9 shots, with 8 on target, while Southwestern Christian unleashed 20 shots, with 12 finding their mark.
• Saves: Builders goalkeeper made 11 crucial saves, while Southwestern Christian's goalkeeper recorded 4 saves.
• Corner Kicks: Builders managed 2 corner kicks, while Southwestern Christian had 3.
The Builders are back at home, Wed., Sept. 13, 2023, 5 pm at Richard L. Jantz Stadium, against Oklahoma Wesleyan.
