WINFIELD, Kan. - The Southwestern College Lady Builders will open their 2024-25 Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference schedule on Saturday, Nov. 16, against the McPherson College Bulldogs. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. in McPherson, Kansas.
Southwestern (0-2) will look to bounce back from a tough start to the season. After falling to Cottey College (65-52) and Southwestern Christian (77-60), the Lady Builders will aim to improve their shooting efficiency, having struggled with a field goal percentage of just 28.9% through the first two games. Despite the slow start, they have shown promise from beyond the arc, averaging 6 made three-pointers per game.
McPherson (0-4) will also be seeking their first win of the season. The Bulldogs have faced a tough slate to start the year, losing their first four games, including a 61-71 defeat to Waldorf University in their last outing. McPherson has struggled with turnovers, averaging 22 per game, but they have been solid on the boards, holding a +3.3 rebound margin over their opponents.
Southwestern will rely on the leadership of senior guard
