LINDSBORG, Kan. — In the final matchup of the regular season, the Builders lost on the road at Bethany College, 63-89.
Bethany seized control early on, with a five-point lead at the end of the first quarter.
Southwestern shot 52.94 percent from the field in the second quarter to pull within seven at halftime, 32-39.
But coming out of halftime, Bethany's Kaleigh O'Brien had a hot quarter dropping in six points along with Kisa Unruh who also had six points in the quarter and enabled the swedes to pull away, 46-68 at the end of the third quarter.
In the final quarter of the season, Christy Wiebe put up eight of her 26 points in the fourth quarter. She finished with 14 rebounds and 2 assists. Â
Saylee Smith had 13 points and six rebounds.
Macey Pond had five points and four rebounds.
Kennedy Ford had five points and four rebounds.
Heather Chiesi finished with 4 points.
