Builder Flag Football Dominated Bethel College in 59-0 Victory

North Newton, Kan. - On Wednesday, February 28th, the Southwestern College women's Flag Football team went on the road to battle Bethel College at North Newton, Kan. In a dominant display of athleticism and teamwork, the Builders emerged with an impressive 59-0 victory. 
 
Right from the kickoff, Southwestern displayed their prowess, seizing control of the game in the first quarter. Their offense came out firing on all cylinders, racking up 18 points in the opening quarter alone.
 
The second quarter saw no let-up from Southwestern, as they continued to pour on the points, adding another 20 to their tally. Meanwhile, Bethel's defense found themselves under constant pressure, unable to contain Southwestern's multifaceted attack.
 
As the game progressed into the second half, Southwestern maintained their dominance, adding 14 more points in the third quarter. Despite Bethel's best efforts, Southwestern's defense remained staunch, shutting down any attempts at a comeback.
 
In the final quarter, Southwestern sealed their victory with a touchdown, capping off a commanding performance that left no doubt about their superiority on the field.
 
Several players stood out for Southwestern with stellar performances. Vivianna Solis showcased her versatility, excelling in both passing and rushing, while also making significant contributions on special teams. Miranda Dooley proved to be a dual threat, delivering touchdowns through the air and on the ground, while also making key defensive plays. Karla Lopes and Aaliah Hanson anchored the defense with solid tackling, while Tana Weckwerth provided a reliable target in the passing game, contributing a touchdown reception.
 
The Builders will be back on March 6th at 6:00 p.m., when they battle Kansas Wesleyan University at Richard L. Jantz Stadium in Winfield, Kan.
