Fremont, Nebraska – On March 16
th, the Southwestern College Flag Football squad went on the road to battle Midland University at Fremont, Nebraska. In a thrilling match-up it was Midland who emerged victorious with a 32-0 win over the Builders.
The game started with a tight defense from both sides, with neither team managing to score in the beginning of the first quarter. However, Midland broke the deadlock towards the end of the first quarter with a touchdown, setting the tone for the rest of the game.
Throughout the second and third quarters, Midland continued to dominate, adding to their lead with precise passes and strategic plays. Southwestern College struggled to keep up with Midland's offensive prowess, unable to find their rhythm and failing to put any points on the board.
The fourth quarter saw Midland solidify their lead with another two touchdowns, showcasing their dominance until the very end. Despite their best efforts, the Builders were unable to mount a comeback, ultimately falling to Midland's superior performance of 32-0.
The Builders will be back on Saturday, March 23
rd at 1:00 PM when they welcome Graceland University to Richard L. Jantz Stadium in Winfield, Kan.
