OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — In a doubleheader, Mid-America Christian University swept Southwestern College, 8-7 and 23-1.

MACU took an early lead with a strong offensive display in the second and third innings, scoring a total of seven runs early.

Down 0-7 in the third inning, Southwestern scored five runs in the fourth inning.

Allie Wesley singled up the middle, scoring
Shaili Showalter for an RBI. The single advanced
Faith Campbell to second and
Taylor Mesna to third, 1-7.

Gina Hernandez walked with the bases loaded, scoring Campbell, 2-7.

Hannah Hlavenka doubled to left field, scoring three runs, 5-7.

In the fifth inning, Mesna singled for the Builders. Then,
Taylor Powers singled moving Mesna to second.
Jordan Gates singled, scoring Mesna and moving Powers to third, 6-7.

Wesley reached base with a fielder's choice that scored Powers, 7-7.

However, MACU secured the win with a run in the bottom of the seventh inning, clinching the 8-7 win.

The second game saw Mid-America Christian University dominating from the start, scoring an impressive 15 runs in the first inning alone.

MACU continued to score, limiting Southwestern to just one run, 23-1.
