WINFIELD, Kan. -  Hosting at Richard L. Jantz Stadium, the Moundbuilders faced a tough loss against Mid-America Christian, 0-4, pushing SC's season record to 0-2.

The match began with a strong defensive stance from both teams, sitting at 0-0 by halftime. 

However, MACU shifted the momentum significantly in the second half. Annika Gerdau of Mid-America broke the deadlock with a goal at 56:17. The flood gates opened after Gerdau, Stephanie Arrivillaga, Brae Baker, and Gladis Avalos rounded off the second half scoring.

Despite the loss, the Moundbuilders are looking to regroup on the road at the University of Science and Arts (Okla.) on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 7PM.
