WINFIELD, Kan. — Moundbuilders men's soccer (0-3, 0-0) suffered a tough 1-0 loss to Oklahoma Panhandle State (2-2, 0-0) at Richard L. Jantz Stadium. The Builders conceded an early goal and were unable to find the equalizer despite outshooting the Aggies.
Oklahoma Panhandle's David Rubio scored the lone goal in the 12th minute. SC's
KJ Masso recorded three saves in goal to keep the game within reach.
Offensively, the Moundbuilders took 12 shots, led by
Isaac Hopkins and
Hector Hernandez with two shots each.
Eduardo Gonzalez and
Jack Bagley-Etheridge registered Southwestern's only shots on goal, but Panhandle State's defense held firm.
Southwestern will be on the road at No. 6 Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Wednesday, September 18 at 7:30 pm.
