WINFIELD, Kan. -Â The Southwestern College Moundbuilders will host the Tabor College Bluejays Saturday, September 21, at Richard L. Jantz Stadium, looking to extend their undefeated streak this season. The Moundbuilders, who boast a perfect record, 3-0, face a Blue Jays team currently, 1-2, under the guidance of Head Coach Mike Gardner.
The history between these two teams has been closely contested with Southwestern having won the last six games against Tabor dating back to 2018. The overall head-to-head record slightly favors Tabor College with 10 wins to Southwestern's 9. Southwestern will look to even out the record.
Key players for the Moundbuilders are quarterback,
Braden Howell, who has impressed Builder fans so far with a 68.7% completion rate and nine touchdowns, and
Matthew Holthusen, a key receiver this season.
Coach
Brad Griffin, leading Southwestern College, has crafted a team that not only focuses on strong offensive plays but also fields a robust defense. This strategic balance will be crucial as they prepare to extend their winning streak against a familiar opponent.
Kickoff is set for 7pm, Saturday, September 21 at Richard L. Jantz Stadium.
