WINFIELD, Kan. — No. 24-ranked Southwestern College (4-0, 0-0) cruised to a dominant 42-0 win over Tabor College (1-3, 0-0), continuing their unbeaten start to the season. The Builders have now scored over 40 points in each of their first four games, while the defense has posted two shutouts, and have only allowed 35 total points this season.

Southwestern opened the scoring midway through the first quarter with a 15-yard touchdown pass from quarterback
Braden Howell to
Bryce Chambers, capping off a 12-play, 68-yard drive.
The Builders doubled their lead in the second quarter with
JB Burnette's 3-yard rushing touchdown, finishing an 8-play, 39-yard drive.

In the third quarter, Burnette broke free for a 44-yard touchdown run, concluding an 8-play, 72-yard drive. Moments later, Howell connected with
Josh Edson for an 11-yard touchdown pass after a quick 2-play, 41-yard drive.

The Builders extended the lead to 35-0 late in the third quarter when
Jaydon Sundgren punched in a 1-yard touchdown run, wrapping up an 11-play, 58-yard drive.

In the opening moments of the fourth quarter, backup quarterback
Carson Riney delivered a 68-yard touchdown pass to
Kymeion Turner on the first play of the drive, sealing the 42-0 win.

On defense, Southwestern stifled Tabor, allowing only 192 total yards. Linebacker
Joey Mars led the charge with seven tackles, while Jacarden Hardeman recorded 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and three tackles.

Southwestern's defense, the Purple Wall, continued to show their dominance, adding three sacks and forcing a fumble, as they extended their scoreless streak to eight quarters.
