Wichita, KS: The Lady Builders are riding the wave of the win column as they are coming off a last-second victory against McPherson to stifle them at home. Now they look ahead at the tall task of the Falcons. Friends is 10-6 on the year and is 5-3 in KCAC play. The Falcons have racked up some impressive wins on the season, including a win in dominating fashion against the OKWU Eagles on Saturday, 89-45. The Falcons are coming into this game with momentum as well. They have won three games straight and also have won 5 out of their last six games. The Builders will need everything they can get to slow down the Falcons.
Scouting the Falcons: The Falcons are led by Lauryn Mclver. The 5'9 junior leads the Falcons in scoring at 14.8 ppg as well as 6.4 rpg. Slowing her down will pose as a key to victory for the builders. Mclver is backed up by Abagail Barr and Kori Babcock, who average 12 ppg a piece.
For the Builders: Junior Guard Macey Pond is currently playing with her hair on fire. Pond exploded for 26 points against Evangel and in their win against McPherson, she had 17 points on 12 shots. Pond is currently averaging 11.6 ppg. Senior Christy Wiebe is having an incredible season thus far, averaging 15 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. These two will need to be in sync tonight if they want to pull off an upset.
