WINFIELD, Kan. — Southwestern College used a dominant all-around performance, including 16 made three pointers, to overwhelm York University 94-62 in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play at Stewart Field House.
The Moundbuilders (11-3, 4-3) were paced by Wyatt Bell, who led all scorers with 20 points while adding seven rebounds and three assists. Justin DeMaria provided a major spark off the bench, finishing with 19 points and knocking down five 3-pointers on 50% shooting from beyond the arc.
Evan Barber filled the stat sheet with 14 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds, providing a steady presence on both ends of the floor.
Zach Hidalgo delivered a double-double with 10 points and a team-high 11 rebounds, helping the Moundbuilders dominate the glass with a 64-35 rebounding advantage.
Trey Abasolo chipped in 11 points and matched the team-high with seven boards.
Southwestern shot 41% from 3-point range, hitting 16 treys on the night, while holding York to 37% shooting from the field. The Moundbuilders' defense forced 19 turnovers and limited the Panthers to just 28 points in the second half.
The Builders will be on the road next, Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Evangel University, tip off is at 7:30 p.m.
