Despite the recent setback, Southwestern will be honoring their sole senior, Teagan Smith, in a special Senior Day celebration. Smith, a standout defender, has been a key contributor to the team's defensive efforts with 35 total tackles and one interception this season.

The Spires (1-4, 1-4 conference) come into the matchup with a tough record but will look to build off their previous performances. Saint Mary has struggled offensively, averaging just 9.7 yards per rush and 138.3 yards per game through the air. Leading the team is quarterback Anayah Hooks, who has passed for 308 yards and four touchdowns.

Southwestern's offense, spearheaded by quarterback Kennedi Hayes, has been more productive, averaging 149.8 passing yards per game and 41.6 rushing yards per game. Mary Jones leads the receiving corps with 241 yards and five touchdowns, while Olivia Manfre is the top all-purpose player for the Builders, with 480 yards and six total touchdowns.
