WINFIELD, Kan.-Southwestern College Builders will hit the road for a crucial flag football conference matchup against the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes (3-2,1-1) in Salina, Kansas, this Wednesday, March 5, 2025. The game is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.

This marks the third meeting between the two teams in the young history of Southwestern's flag football program. The Builders lost both matchups with the Coyotes last season, including a 19-0 defeat on March 6, 2024 in Winfield. They also suffered a 38-6 loss in Salina, on March 27, 2024. This will be the Builders' second year in the flag football program, and they are looking to bounce back after a tough 34-12 loss to Baker University in their season opener.

The Builders (0-1,0-1) showed resilience in their first outing, tallying 211 yards of total offense against Baker. Quarterback Kennedi Hayes threw for 129 yards and one touchdown, while receiver Devina Lytle caught a 71-yard touchdown pass. However, they will need to improve their defensive play and reduce the time of possession for their opponents.

The Coyotes' most recent games included a narrow 26-18 loss to Ottawa University on March 1 and a dominant 52-0 victory over William Woods on March 2.
