Jack Bagley-Etheridge scored four goals to lead Southwestern College to a 5-0 win over Central Baptist College on Saturday at Richard L. Jantz Stadium.
The Moundbuilders (3-2) overwhelmed the Mustangs from the start, outshooting them 21-1 and scoring three times in the opening 25 minutes. Bagley-Etheridge netted goals in the 5th, 8th and 25th minutes for a first-half hat trick, then added his fourth early in the second half. Fellow freshman

Southwestern's defense never allowed Central Baptist (0-3) to settle, holding them without a shot on goal until the closing stages. The Mustangs' only effort came from Liam Persson in the 75th minute, easily saved by goalkeeper
KJ Masso, who secured the clean sheet with one stop.

Jack Bagley-Etheridge has seven goals in non-conference play and has emerged as the focal point of Southwestern's attack. The Moundbuilders enter conference competition on a winning streak, looking steady defensively and increasingly confident in the final third.
The Builders open KCAC play at Friends University in Wichita, Kan., on Wednesday at 5 p.m., a matchup expected to test how well non-conference play has prepared them for league competition.
