Southwestern Women’s Soccer Battles to Scoreless Draw at Friends

WICHITA, Kan. — Southwestern College women's soccer traveled back to Wichita on Monday night to complete the suspended match against Friends University, originally halted on September 17. After ninety minutes of determined play, the contest ended in a 0–0 draw at Adair-Austin Stadium.

From the opening whistle, both sides fought to control the pace. Friends generated 14 total shots, seven of them on goal, but the Builders' defense refused to break. Leading the way was senior goalkeeper Hayden Clark, who once again showed why she was named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week. Clark was a brick wall between the posts, recording seven saves and earning her second shutout of the season after also blanking York on Saturday.

Southwestern produced chances of its own, with shots from Adi Pemberton and Natalie Belanger, forcing a late save in the 89th minute. The Builders' back line held strong against repeated Falcon attacks, highlighted by multiple stops on Friends' forward Solenn Levesque, who tallied five shots on target.

With the result, Southwestern moves to 1-3-1 overall, 1-0-1 KCAC, while Friends stands at 3-2-2, 1-0-1 KCAC.
