For the Moundbuilders, limiting attack errors and finding ways to score around Ottawa's front-row defense will be important. Southwestern has recorded 152 service aces this season compared with Ottawa's 71, giving the Moundbuilders an opportunity to challenge the Braves' serve reception and disrupt their offensive rhythm.
The teams last met Oct. 22, 2025, when Ottawa earned a three-set victory (25-20, 25-17, 25-19) at Wilson Field House in Ottawa, Kan. Natalie Blaufuss recorded 16 assists. Ottawa was led by Nickel's 11 kills and Cherry's 10.
Southwestern will look to reverse that result and secure its first conference victory of the season.
