WINFIELD, Kan. — The Southwestern College men's soccer team returns to Richard L. Jantz Stadium on Tuesday, Oct. 27, for a nonconference matchup against Hesston College, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The matchup comes during the final week of the regular season for the Moundbuilders, who enter the contest with a 5-10-1 overall record and a 5-6-1 mark in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Southwestern is looking to regain momentum after dropping its last two matches against Ottawa and Kansas Wesleyan. Before those losses, the Moundbuilders put together a six-match unbeaten streak, collecting five victories and one draw. The stretch included four shutout victories against Sterling, Bethel, Avila and Tabor, along with a 1-0 win over Evangel.

Offensively, Southwestern has scored 16 goals through 16 matches this season. Nicola Antiglio, Christian Banda and Filippo Rocchelli lead the Moundbuilders with three goals apiece. Bernabe Lopez has contributed two goals and two assists, while Zach Hammar has added two goals and one assist. Hammar also leads the team with 22 shot attempts, including 13 on goal.

Defensively, goalkeeper Federico Guazzotti has been a key contributor for Southwestern, recording 78 saves and five shutouts in 16 appearances. The Moundbuilders have recorded five shutouts as a team this season.

Hesston enters Tuesday's matchup with a 10-3-1 overall record, including a 5-1-1 mark in road contests. The Larks have scored 33 goals through 14 matches while allowing just 16.

Alexander Radu leads Hesston's offensive attack with 10 goals and four assists, totaling 24 points. Santiago Llanos has contributed three goals and a team-high seven assists, while Jaiden Trevelyan and Saul Pineda have each scored four goals.

The Larks have also been effective defensively, recording six shutouts this season. Goalkeeper Luis Jimenez has registered 23 saves and a .821 save percentage, while Harry Morris has contributed 31 saves in nine appearances.

Tuesday's contest presents Southwestern with an opportunity to earn its first nonconference victory of the season while building momentum during the final week of regular-season competition.
