WINFIELD, Kan. — Southwestern College is back at Stewart Field House on Saturday, Feb. 14th, for a KCAC game against Kansas Wesleyan, with tipoff set for 1 p.m. as the Lady Builders host Cancer Awareness Night.
Southwestern enters the weekend 4-21 overall and 0-19 in conference play, still searching for its first home win (0-9) after Wednesday's road loss at Evangel. Kansas Wesleyan arrives at 11-14 overall and 8-11 in the KCAC, coming off a 58-52 loss to Bethel on Wednesday.
The Lady Builders have leaned on senior guard Macey Pond (16.3 points, 9.4 rebounds per game) and freshman guard Breanna Goad (10.3 ppg) to generate offense, with Kennedy Ford adding 10.7 points per contest. Southwestern is averaging 59.4 points per game while allowing 77.8. The Coyotes have been steadier on both ends, scoring 72.3 points per game and giving up 69.0, led by Odessa Ozuna (13.4 ppg) and Izzy McCool (12.3 ppg).
Saturday marks the first meeting between the teams this season, but the series has been one-sided recently. Kansas Wesleyan leads the all-time matchup 26-18 and has won 13 straight against Southwestern, including a 106-54 decision in the most recent meeting on Feb. 15, 2025, in Salina.
