WINFIELD,Kan. — The Southwestern College men's soccer team will close out its nonconference schedule Saturday when the Moundbuilders travel to face Southwestern Christian University at 3 p.m. at Cagle Family Soccer Field.

Southwestern enters the matchup at 0-3 overall, while Southwestern Christian comes in unbeaten at 3-0. The Moundbuilders have scored in each of their first three matches, falling 2-1 to Northwestern, 2-1 at Hastings and 3-1 against Oklahoma Panhandle State.

The Builders have received production from several players early in the season. Nicola Antiglio has one goal through three appearances, while Bernabe Lopez has added one goal on three shots. Cooper Bates has helped create opportunities for the Southwestern attack with a team-high two assists through the first three matches.

Freshman goalkeeper Franco Guazzotti has played all 270 minutes in goal for Southwestern. Guazzotti has recorded 19 saves and carries a .731 save percentage through three matches.

Southwestern Christian enters Saturday's contest with a strong offensive start, scoring 21 goals on 66 shots through three games. The Eagles are averaging seven goals and 22 shots per match while putting 46 attempts on goal.

The Eagles opened the season with a 4-2 victory over KCAC opponent Friends University before defeating Ozark Christian College 10-0 and Randall 7-0.

Curtis Clarke leads Southwestern Christian with six goals through three matches, while Gabin Desplats has four goals and five assists for a team-high 13 points. Hugo Ivarson has also added three goals and one assist.

In goal, Axel Tricot has played all 270 minutes for the Eagles, allowing just two goals while recording six saves and two shutouts.

Saturday will give the Moundbuilders one final nonconference test before KCAC play begins. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, in Bethany, Oklahoma.
