Colin Hurley joined the Southwestern College football coaching staff in 2025 and serves as a graduate assistant working with the Moundbuilders’ defensive backs. His recruiting areas include northern Kansas, Oklahoma City and southwest Missouri.
In his first season at Southwestern, Hurley helped coach a Moundbuilder defense that one of the top pass defenses in the country.Â
Before joining Southwestern, Hurley spent two seasons on the coaching staff at Westmoore High School in Oklahoma. He coached the varsity cornerbacks in 2023 before taking on an expanded role in 2024 as the varsity safeties coach, pass game coordinator and junior varsity head coach.
During the 2023 season, Westmoore finished 7-6 and hosted a playoff game, defeating Mustang High School 43-38.
While at Westmoore, Hurley coached several players who went on to compete at the NCAA Division I level, including Mykel Patterson-McDonald, who played at Oklahoma in 2024, and MJ Graham, a safety at Kansas State.
A native of Marshfield, Missouri, Hurley graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2025 with a degree in secondary social studies education. He is currently pursuing a Master of Education in School Leadership at Southwestern College.
