Broderick Stewart enters his second season on the Southwestern College men's basketball coaching staff. He has been instrumental in various aspects of the program, with responsibilities that continue to expand. In addition to assisting the varsity team, Stewart serves as the head coach of the JV Builders.
A native of Emporia, Kansas, Stewart graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Leadership and Recreation. He spent the previous four years as a student assistant under three-time national champion head coach Craig Doty, where he contributed to all facets of the program, including recruiting, opponent scouting, and player development. His efforts played a key role in leading Emporia State to a national tournament appearance.
