Southwestern College

Micah Gabler is in his fourth year with the Southwestern College men’s basketball program, serving as an assistant coach. A native of Mishawaka, Indiana, Gabler began his coaching career as a student assistant at Bethel University, where the Pilots appeared in two NAIA National Tournaments, including an Elite Eight run in 2021.

He joined Southwestern in June 2022 as a graduate assistant before being elevated to his current role as assistant coach. His responsibilities have included scouting, recruiting, travel, organizing on-campus events, and overseeing player development and academic progress. During his time with the Builders, the program has made two National Tournament appearances and won the 2023 KCAC Championship.

Gabler earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Studies from Bethel University in 2022 and recently completed his master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Southwestern College.
