Dante Curin, a native of Santiago, Chile, joines the Southwestern College soccer programs as the graduate assistant goalkeeper coach.
Curin brings extensive collegiate playing experience, having competed at both the NJCAA and NCAA Division II levels. He began his career at Barton Community College, appearing in 17 matches over two seasons and logging more than 1,448 minutes in goal. He later transferred to Davis & Elkins College, where he completed his undergraduate degree and continued his playing career.
In his senior season at Davis & Elkins in 2024, Curin started 18 matches, recorded six shutouts and helped lead a defensive unit that allowed just 25 goals all year. He posted a season-high six saves against Concord and notched key clean sheets against Ashland, Salem (W.Va.), West Liberty, Wheeling and West Virginia Wesleyan.
Now moving into coaching, Curin aims to share his technical expertise and passion for the game with Southwestern’s goalkeepers, focusing on developing their skills, confidence and tactical awareness.
