The Southwestern College Moundbuilders (9-13, 2-8) faced Kansas Wesleyan University (21-8, 9-1), but the Builders couldn't secure a victory and fell the Coyotes in three sets, 16-25, 17-25, 17-25.

Kansas Wesleyan came into the match with a dominant performance, securing the first set, 25-16. Their impressive offensive display, with Gianna Adriaanse leading the way with nine kills, set the tone for the match. The Moundbuilders struggled to find their rhythm and respond to Kansas Wesleyan's efficient play.

The second set was equally challenging for Southwestern, as Kansas Wesleyan claimed another victory, 25-17. SC's Morgan Pulido had five kills and three aces, but it was not enough to counter Kansas Wesleyan.

Haley Shaw ignited the third set with three consecutive aces to begin, but it would prove not to be enough, the Coyotes secured the sweep, 25-17.

Emma Lincoln had eight kills and a solid defensive effort.  Daci Stover added five kills. Pulido led the Builders with 15 digs, and Sophie Wicker had 11, while Lauren Broz added three.

The Buliders will back in action on the road, Wednesday, Nov. 1, 7pm at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Ok.
