WINFIELD, KAN. – On Wednesday, December 6th, the women's basketball squad hosted play to the Threshers of Bethel College at Stewart Field House in Winfield, Kan. A game where the Builders could not show all their strengths ended in a 83-75 loss for the Builders.
The Builders started the game off strong, winning the first quarter 15-13. A strong free throw percentage of 80.00% helped the Builders take the lead. Unfortunately, the Threshers responded in the second quarter as they finished the second quarter on top, 19-10. As a result, the Builders were trailing the game at halftime, 32-25.
Coming back from the locker rooms, the Builders knew they had to bring a strong performance to get back into the game. Macey Pond (24) and Kennedy Ford (20) led the Builders in the points and kept pushing the offensive side of the Builders. As a result, the Builders started to come back by winning the third quarter 27-25. Ultimately, it was not enough as the Threshers finished the fourth quarter 26-23 and, therefore, won the game 83-75.
