WINFIELD, Kan. — After dropping the first two games of the series, Southwestern bounced back in a thrilling finale against Friends University, securing their first win of the season in game three, 8-6.

In a high-scoring affair, Friends secured game one in the series opener, clinching a 17-9 win over Southwestern.

The Builders took an early first inning lead, but the falcon's offense exploded in the fifth inning, scoring seven runs to seize control of the game.

The Moundbuilders started a comeback with five runs in the sixth inning, but Friends held on to their lead, 17-9.

Friends University continued their dominance in the second game of the series, shutting out Southwestern 14-0.

Friends University's offense came alive early in the game, scoring runs in each of the first five innings to build a commanding lead.

Despite Southwestern's efforts on the mound, they struggled to contain Friends University's bats, ultimately falling short, 14-0.

In a thrilling finale, Southwestern rallied to secure an 8-6 victory over Friends University, clinching their first win of the season.

Friends took an early lead, scoring runs in the first and second innings, but Southwestern responded with a strong offensive display in the fourth inning, scoring three runs to tie the game.

In the seventh inning, Logan Gage singled to left field, advancing Tyler Seboldt to third and Gage taking second after a fielder's choice throw to third.

With two runners on, Brice Nittler hit a three-run bomb to take the lead and secure the game, 8-6.

Pitcher, Mark Gil played a pivotal role on the mound for Southwestern, earning the win with a solid performance.

The Moundbuilders will be back in action Tuesday, March 12, at home against Sterling College, 1pm first pitch.
