WINFIELD, Kan -  Southwestern College women's tennis team lost to Bethel College, 1-4.

In the doubles matches, Bethel's Casique and Krehbiel edged out Mariana Ochoa and Emily Feihle in a closely contested match, 5-7.

Bethel's Payton and Huerta defeated Alexis Kersten and Rose Elie, 0-6, leaving Southwestern trailing as they headed into the singles matchups.

In women's singles play, Southwestern's number one, Ochoa showcased a dominant performance, defeating Bethel's number one, Casique, 6-0, 6-4.
However, Bethel's Dawes defeated Emily Feihle in a closely fought battle.1-6, 4-6.

In the remaining singles matches, Bethel's Krehbiel defeated Alexis Kersten, 4-6, 0-6. Additionally, Bethel's Mahoney defeated Rose Elie, 1-6, 0-6.
