WINFIELD, Kan.  - Southwestern's top player, Marian Ochoa, defeated McPherson's Zeynep Barut in a 10 point match tie breaker, 2-6, 6-3, [10-6].

Builders dropped the match to McPherson, 1-4.

In the doubles matches, Ortiz and Hofer of McPherson College secured an early lead with a victory against Southwestern's Ochoa and Alexis Kersten, 4-6.

As the competition transitioned to singles Ochoa showcased her resilience in a closely contested match against Barut of McPherson, ultimately winning 10-6 in a tiebreaker. Meanwhile, Southwestern's Kersten of Southwestern lost 6-3, 2-6. [4-10] in a tie breaker to More. Rose Ellie fell to Garcia, 0-6, 0-6. 

The Builders are back in action, Monday, April 15, on the road at Kansas Wesleyan University, at 3pm.
