SALINA, Kan. - In a closely contested tennis match at Kansas Wesleyan University, the Southwestern College women's tennis team narrowly fell, 3-4.
In the doubles matches, Southwestern's
Mariana Ochoa/Rose Ellie secured a hard-fought victory against Bagwell/Sherer of Kansas Wesleyan.
As the dual transitioned to singles play, Ochoa showcased her dominance on the court, defeating Henderson in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3. Additionally,
Alexis Kersten displayed remarkable composure, securing another win against Camp, 6-3, 6-1.
Despite valiant efforts from Southwestern, Kansas Wesleyan emerged victorious in the remaining singles matches, with Meredith and Bonner securing wins against Jimenez and the remaining Southwestern players.
