Hillsboro, KS — Southwestern College faced a tough road series against Tabor College, dropping all three games.
Game 1 at Tabor | Southwestern 3 Tabor 13
Tabor College started the series strong, securing a decisive 13-3 victory over the Builders. Southwestern struggles to hold off Tabor's offense, as they scored early and often, particularly in the fourth inning, where they scored eight runs. Despite a late surge by Southwestern in the sixth and seventh innings, led by hits from
Carlos Camacho and
Zach Boone, Tabor's solid pitching and commanding lead kept them in control throughout game one.
Notable Southwestern Highlights: Despite the loss, Southwestern College managed to tally 11 hits in the game. Notable performances from Camacho,
Trevor Abitia, and Boone, who each contributed two hits.
Jace Horn also made an impact with a key RBI.
Game 2 at Tabor | Southwestern 1 Tabor 5
In the second game of the series, Southwestern kept Tabor within reach, but fell 5-1. Southwestern got an early run in the first inning courtesy of a single from Camacho. The Builders gave up a second inning homerun and were unable to provide enough run support. Â
Notable Southwestern Highlights: Southwestern College managed to tally three hits in the game. Camacho once again made an impact with a key RBI single in the first inning.
Game 3 at Tabor | Southwestern 2 Tabor 15 Â
Tabor sealed the series sweep with a commanding 15-2 victory third game. Southwestern unfortunately allowed Tabor to score in every inning except the sixth. Despite hits from
Tyler Seboldt,
Will Johannsen, and
Eli Garrison, Tabor secured the win.
Notable Southwestern Highlights: Southwestern College recorded five hits in the game, including a double from Seboldt and a double from Johannsen, who also had an RBI.
