WIFIELD, Kan. (AP) — Mariana Ochoa, Southwestern's standout senior women's tennis player, completed her career with honors as league coaches voted her First Team All-KCAC, capping off an exceptional season with a series of impressive performances.

Ochoa showcased her dominance in singles matches throughout the season, solidifying her status as one of the top players in the conference. Facing off against formidable opponents across the league, Ochoa consistently delivered, playing through multiple injuries and finishing 8-3 overall.
 

Ochoa began the spring season defeating Abigail Chaney of Evangel University, showcasing her unmatched agility and precision to secure a 2-0 win. And continued to display her dominance throughout the league. She defeated Abigail Chaney from Evangel University, 6-0, 6-0. Defeated Tara Stewart, Tabor College, 6-0, 6-4. Defeated Ana Sofia Castillo Paz, Bethany College, 6-1, 6-3. Defeated Daniela Casique, Bethel College, 6-0, 6-4. Defeated Nancy Henderson, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, 6-1, 6-0. Defeated Kristi Henderson, Kansas Wesleyan University, 6-0, 6-3. Defeated Jewel Henderson, Oklahoma Wesleyan University. And finished the season defeating Ana Alvarez of Sterling College, as she played through a shoulder and wrist injury, edging out the victory.

 
Ochoa was not the only standout player to receive recognition for her achievements this season.
