Bagley-Ethridge Delivers in Moundbuilders’ 2-1 Victory Over Tabor

HILLSBORO, Kan. – The Southwestern College men's soccer team earned a crucial 2-1 road victory over Tabor College for their first conference win of the season.

Southwestern's Jack Bagley-Etheridge delivered both goals for the Moundbuilders, opening the scoring early in the 13th minute and sealing the victory with a decisive strike in the 85th minute. Bagley-Etheridge led the Builders with three shots, two of which were on target.

Despite Tabor's equalizer in the 29th minute from Molelwa Abendelwa, assisted by Andre Trigo, the Moundbuilders' defense remained strong, allowing just two shots on goal throughout the match.

Goalkeeper Andre Luiten secured the win for Southwestern with one save.

Connor Inlow and Eduardo Gonzalez were also key contributors offensively, each recording two shots. Adrian Gimenez and Carlos Villalba anchored the defense, playing the full 90 minutes, while Hue Alzate added a shot off the bench.

Southwestern outshot Tabor 9-6, placing six shots on goal compared to Tabor's two. Despite trailing in corner kicks 5-3, the Moundbuilders showed their poise, and only committed three fouls to help secure the win.
