The Southwestern College women's basketball team suffered a close loss Wednesday evening to the Friends University Falcons. The Builders fell behind early and played from behind the rest of the game. Despite trailing behind by 12 points in the first quarter, the Builders fought back in every quarter. The Builders cut the lead to one at the end of the game, 75-74, but a quick turnaround for the Falcons ended the Builders shot at victory.

A three-headed monster performance from Christy Wiebe, Macey Pond, and Kennedy Ford kept them in the game. Wiebe finished with a monster double double, putting up 15 points and 17 rebounds. Macey Pond continued her hot shooting streak, finishing with 20 points on 12 shots. Kennedy Ford was the leading scorer for the Builders, finishing with 21 points. For the Falcons, the inside presence of Taylor Jackson proved to be too much to handle. The Falcons big finished with 27 points on 16 shots, and her teammate Lauryn Mclver finished with 20 points of her own.
