Kegg Named Head Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Coach at Southwestern College

WINFIELD, Kan. – Southwestern College Athletic Director Matt O'Brien has announced the hiring of Jack Kegg as the new Head Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross-Country Coach.

Kegg brings more than 15 years of collegiate coaching and program-building experience to Southwestern, having most recently served as Head Track Coach at Oakland City University in Indiana. Throughout his career, Kegg has demonstrated success in developing student-athletes academically and athletically while building competitive programs through a relationship-centered coaching philosophy.

"We are excited to welcome Jack Kegg to Southwestern College," said O'Brien. "Jack has a proven track record of rebuilding and growing programs, developing strong student-athletes, and fostering a culture of academic and athletic excellence. His commitment to relationship building and student success aligns perfectly with our mission, and we look forward to the future of our track & field and cross-country programs under his leadership."

At Oakland City University, Kegg inherited a program facing significant challenges and quickly transformed it into a thriving and successful operation.

Prior to Oakland City, Kegg spent more than a decade as Head Track and Cross-Country Coach at Oregon Tech. There, he guided the program from a middle-of-the-pack conference competitor into a nationally recognized program that consistently ranked among the NAIA's top 15 teams.

A graduate of Western Oregon University, Kegg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
